Whole goose foie gras (180g) in jar
Barthouil whole goose foie gras has a particularly fine and silky texture. On the palate, it reveals a beautiful persistence and a slight hint of bitterness on the finish.
Whole duck foie gras is sold in jars and is cooked for longer at a higher temperature than semi-cooked foie gras. This makes it easy to store for a long time.
Since its creation nearly 100 years ago, foie gras has been at the heart of Maison Barthouil's expertise.
Even today, it is still produced using traditional methods.
The geese are raised outdoors in the Périgord region (South of France), among green meadows and woods, and fed mainly on corn grown on the farm itself.
Serving suggestion:
Serve the foie gras well chilled.
Place it in the refrigerator the day before and take it out about twenty minutes before serving.
It is delicious on a slice of toast or gingerbread, accompanied by a glass of champagne or white wine.
Allow 60g per person for a starter.
