The Prunier saga dates back to the 19th century and is home to the most innovations in the history of French gastronomy. Since 1872, Prunier has been led by a long line of French pioneers and visionaries. This universe of “everything that comes from the sea” is the result of a combination of art, in all its forms. 100 years later, Pierre Bergé, visionary impresario and patron of the arts, brings back the Prunier name to the art world thanks to his collaboration with Bernard Buffet, as well as to the fashion world with Yves Saint Laurent.

Prunier, the first establishment to prepare and sell French caviar, invented the oyster bar, champagne by the glass and home delivery by bicycle in Paris.

After living the roaring twenties, two world wars and crossing the English Channel to open in London, Prunier now spreads wide to Japan, with 40 outlets around the world.

The Prunier factory is located in a unique and preserved ecosystem, in the heart of several hectares of nature. Ideally located on the banks of a tributary of the Dordogne which draws its source in the Massif Central, at 375 meters of altitude.

For 150 years, this mythical place has been the scene of famous love encounters: Coco Chanel, Jean Cocteau, Christian Dior, Marilyn Monroe, Yves Montand. With its unique Art Deco style, it is the living witness of the luminous Paris of the Roaring Twenties, which inspired even before Francis Scott Fitzgerald (The Great Gatsby) Oscar Wilde and Ernest Hemingway. Prunier Victor Hugo is registered as a historical monument.
