Prunier is proud to be a long-standing partner of Maison Barthouil, a French company with a century of artisanal expertise.
Since its inception, foie gras has been one of Maison Barthouil's iconic products. It is prepared in exclusive collaboration with five passionate farmers and feeders based in the Landes region (South of France). They raise ducks outdoors in small numbers and grow their own corn to feed them.
When tasted, it stands out for its flavour, melt-in-the-mouth texture and beautiful length on the palate.
Like a fine wine, whole duck foie gras keeps remarkably well and gains complexity over time.
Serving suggestion
Serve the foie gras well chilled. Place it in the refrigerator the day before and take it out about twenty minutes before serving.
It can be enjoyed on toast, accompanied by a light red wine, champagne or a white Burgundy wine.
